Edible Plant Walk

  • Riverbrook Preserve 3495 Washington Road Waldoboro, ME, 04572 United States (map)

Late spring in Maine is a lush moment of fiddleheads, nettles, beech leaves, cattail shoots, and so so much more! What can you do with all this abundance and how do you steward the land at the same time?

To find out, join forager and wild food cook Rachel Alexandrou at Riverbrook Preserve to walk and learn about late spring wild edibles. The walk will last 1.5 hours and end with a wild tasting made by Rachel to give you a glimpse into what you can do with the local wild flora.

Foraging will require walking on uneven terrain. No experience is required. Please bring sturdy shoes, a water bottle, a notebook and writing utensil. We will be identifying more than foraging on this walk so no need to bring any tools.

Please note that registration is required and capacity is limited. Review our refund policy here.
