1/17 Ski it While you can!
Surprisingly good cover after yesterday’s weather-maker. 1-2’”of of granular crust with some exposed sections, but it’s skiable! Dust off those rock skis and ski it while you can!
It is a slushy, winter wonderland out here, but the trails are a bit of a mess. We have about 8 inches of wet snow covering muddy trails with lots of blowdowns and saplings overhanging into the trails. We won’t be grooming this storm due to the consistency of the snow and rain in the forecast. Trail cleanup will likely be a multi-day event.
Just when we thought the ski season was over! We will assess snow conditions after the storm. Our hope is to lay out some nice groomers to enjoy for the weekend. If conditions look good we will also try and be open for ski rentals at the Welcome Center Sat./Sun. Stay tuned, we will send out an update Friday!
Now that the ice is gone, we have MUD! Mud season is a little early this year so if you venture out for a walk, be prepared for sloppy trails.
Trails are still icy, but may start to soften up with the warm weather expected over the next week. Microspikes are highly recommended.
We received a thin layer of snow overnight that has blanketed our icy trails making conditions VERY treacherous. Microspikes and studded tires on bikes are highly recommended. Conditions are not good for skiing.
The trails are very icy today! Be sure to bring microspikes and tread carefully!
Time for micro spikes! The trails have become quite icy so be careful out there!
We have been rolling trails this morning and will continue to groom throughout the day. Things are looking fantastic so far!
Fresh tracks today! We received about 4 inches of wet snow overnight. We may try and groom a few trails tomorrow morning depending on temps.
