In Memory of Tony Marple
We are so saddened to share that Tony Marple, our friend and the Treasurer of the Midcoast Conservancy Board, has passed away. Tony was an amazing soul: a fierce defender of the wilds, an energetic hiker, an avid nature photographer, a curious and piercing mind, and more. He would always speak for the trees, and ask the hard questions. This photo of Tony is from this past May as he and Air wandered the bank of the West Branch of the Sheepscot looking at the signs of spring emerging, wondering about the fate and beauty of the world and hoping for its sustainable future.
