Hemlock Woolly Adelgid Walk & Talk

On Saturday April 29th from 2-4 p.m., Sasanoa Brewing and Tarbox Farm will be hosting Midcoast Conservancy and Kennebec Estuary Land Trust for a talk and field walk about Hemlock Wooly Adelgid, the invasive insect threatening our Hemlock forests.

The talk will include history, identification, and management strategies. The walk will explore first-hand the signs and symptoms of Hemlock Woolly Adelgid and the important role of hemlock trees in Westport Island's forests and Maine at large. 

All beer proceeds during the talk and post field walk socializing will be donated to further the conservation work of Midcoast Conservancy and Kennebec Estuary Land Trust! 

NOTE: Trails will be wet, please wear appropriate footwear for mud stomping. Rain date will be Sunday April 30th 2-4pm and will be posted on all social media platforms.
