Time: Sat, Aug 21, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Location: Hidden Valley Nature Center

Description: Bring the family to come search for and celebrate “the little things that run the world” on our Bug Safari. We use the term “bug” loosely as we will examine and explore anything that we can catch and release. We will visit several different ecosystems and get up close and personal with the little inhabitants.

The Bug Safari will be led by entomologist and agroecologist John Hayden. John ran an organic farm and nursery in Vermont for 30 years, is the co-author (along with his wife Nancy) of Farming on the Wild Side, served on the Vermont State Legislature Pollinator Protection Committee, and now is busy setting up Northwind Gardens in Waldoboro.

Pack a lunch and spend the afternoon wandering the trails at Hidden Valley after the safari!
